See my vest! See my vest! Made from real Gorilla chest! See my loafers, made from Gophers! That were ran over by my chauffeur.

Thank you for the great site AV Club staffers! You make some pretty long, boring days so much better, sometimes. I love AV Club because of course I do.
Interesting timing, mentioning the Grapes Of wrath, found out this fall that a movie, or at least a story, I had thought everyone was born being familiar with, almost no one new a shred of anything about it except the name.
My Goodness! As in the band, My Goodness.
Was that Angela Pleasance or David Bowie? I am surprised, was there never any Simpsons version? Or would that have been to obvious to adapt? Even the name "A Simpson's Carol" is just such a no-brainer.
Tis' the Season so here ya go, the Hall and Oates uber cheesy jingle bell rock video from some christmas special.
I actually remember some interview in a music magazine a long time ago and Darryl Hall says that they intentionally recorded their music to sound good on AM cause that had been the dominant radio thingamajig at the time.
I think its really hard to find because of some copyright's issues. Then again, I didn't read the article so maybe it mentions something about how it's available.
RIVER BOTTOM NIGHTMARE BAND! Need I say more? How could they not have won the show? The best rock song ever recorded, duh! "We don't like to bathe cause we don't like to be clean. We don't brush out teeth, cause the toothache helps us stay mean. We don't like to learn, but we hate what we don't understand. RIVER…
I loved the Wall but now it just seems to go on and on. I can listen all through Tommy, Quadrophenia and I have lately rediscovered Operation:Mindcrime and have listened to that numerous times recently. I can't get "The Mission" out of my head, for days now.
I had the same thought earlier today. I doubt Reed was involved as some sort of secretly successful high concept joke. He had been a major druggie for quite awhile by that point.
Vinnie can suck it, he can write a good song and play a mean guitar but, vinnie can suck it. Just one Bat's opinion.
Does anyone remember a cold war themed episode of tom and Jerry where they fought each other with increasingly sophisticated weapons, starting with sticks and stones and continuing up to atomic weapons? They blow themselves back to the stone age and then begin chasing each other with sticks and stones again?…
I had Ace's on 8-track and still have all the songs downloaded. That's not a bad album. Ace had a good ear for pop tunes and liked to keep it rocking. "Rip it out" is just good straight up rock n roll.
That is just the nature of a lot of British of that age. Because it did fuck up there childhood. Dead parents, family. Playing in heaps of rubble, finding personal effects in the debris to play with. All the men being off to war, and human nature being what it is……The government enacting rations for decades afterward,…
and Tenacious D, make of that what you will.
Destroyer. Alive. Also, the doc "KISS loves you". Or perhaps find online "When KISS ruled the world"
Wasn't it huge in Australia? Or was that "Dynasty"? Either way, by this time they had veered off course.
