I know everyone thinks this already but CGI is being used to much as a crutch for actually entertaining action sequences.

As long as Samuel L. Jackson gets to utter "mu-tha fu-cka" at a critical plot juncture, I am all in.

While I do not deny that HTTM doesn't always hit the high-notes like comedic gems such as Angela's Ashes, Precious and Requiem for a Dream, I find it does have an occasional charming moment for the common people to escape their dreary lives with.

I have always suspected that the final seinfeld episode was an inside joke. There was such huge anticipation of it. What if they decided that it would be funny if  one of the biggest audiences ever tuned in to the final episode of one of the most popular comedies ever and it sucked?

That episode, maybe the first one, where the new dr. gets there and all the hospital noises cause his post traumatic stress disorder to kick in. I laughed out loud, which is rare. Course if somethings gonna make me laugh out loud, it will probably be someone else's suffering.

I need to go back to this and catch up. I only saw a couple early episodes. Anything the guy from Hot Tub Time Machine, best movie ever, does will probably be unicorn bacon for me.

If my memory of junior and senior high is correct girls, and boys, identifying the weakest of the pack then traumatizing and destroying their psyche forever and ever has been going on long before reality shows were even a dream.

I am surprised I don't still have nightmares of Donald Sutherland making that weird ass body-snatched alien noise at the end.

So frickin cool! A.V. club is entertaining AND informative. I was around for the push to change to metric during Cater Admin. but I remember nothing of this.

I was invited to a general conference and one of the apostle's lectures was on God's law not necessarily lining up with the law of man so if you happened to break a law of man's you were not necessarily going to be on God's bad side. Why, what ever did they mean by that I wondered?

I actually like that aspect of the lds. They definitely take care of their own and they do band together to pool money and make food to stock and give away to families in need.
