I hope this isn’t bodysnarking, but the look on her face as she struts in slow mo toward the viewer in the beginning?

It’s so hard. Making friends after college. Well, I actually blame my spouse for our difficulties in finding friends. I’m a hyper extrovert and she’s an introvert. She finds reasons to dislike people so her socializing time is limited. I get it. But I also wish she’d realize how many cool people we’ve hung out with

Tangent: I will never tell her this, but I hate that my spouse refers to the female parents who come to her clinic with kids “Mom.” As in she uses this instead of their name. I hate that and I don’t know why. Possibly because she picked it up as a condescending way that doctors talk to mothers about caring for their

I seem to recall hearing either a physician or a writer on National Public Radio reporting that Rheumatoid Arthritis is the leading cause of disability application in the U.S. My 36yo sister-in-law has it and is unable to work. Any kind of stress causes her to get sick, and the disease has deformed her hands and her

I need the gif with the point zooming over the human head on an X/Y graphic. I thought rape on college campuses was a hot-button social issue?

Lewandowski was going on and on earlier today about how Trump is the single most successful businessman in the U.S. I like to imagine Bill Gates and Warren Buffet laughing over their champagne at this.

I watched his interview on CNN at lunch. He didn’t answer a single question. Nuts.

I love cats. Had them most of my life. Two gave me any regard at all. The others existed to remind me of my complete inferiority.

Oh, I am irrationally (and silently) judgey about that. I had a coworker who, while married, referred to her dog as her “soulmate.” I mean, I have three dogs and feel all gooey over them, so I get it. But I still judge people hardcore when they refer to themselves as “pet parents.” But this could be because I have no

Good point.

Exactly. I mean, I *think* it comes from a place of decency in my mother, but I wish she’d let it drop. And she also thinks that the frustrations my spouse has faced because of her race should just evaporate because she’s successful. Sorry, mom. Doesn’t work like that.

Beyonce’s instrument is her voice, and it is a formidable one. Should we strip Tina Turner of her awards because she only managed to sing and dance?

My very conservative parents have a block. My spouse of 20 years is Mexican-American. My mother cannot be dissuaded from insisting that we should leave Metro North Texas and move on over to Kentucky near her. Her reason? My spouse speaks Spanish, and my mother believes that Spanish speaking people are so powerful, so

But she’s unimpressive in a blonde way. Which can count for something in Hollywood.

This hits really close to home.

I have some gun toting friends, and they tell me that if you go to the range on a regular basis, you can do “OK” with a gun. Meaning you sure as shit can hit someone with it.

This. I grew up in a household with a rifle and pistols. Still couldn’t tell you today where the ammo was kept.

I really don’t think this is the case. I’ve worked in media for 20 years. Reporters who cover the police beat have daily access to reports, criminal investigation briefings and medical examiner updates. When kids are killed, it makes the news. (When anyone is killed, it’s news.)

I actually think those deaths are covered by media, but fail to raise the ire of their communities.

Last summer, a Facebook friend responded to Black Lives Matter with a meme picturing six American police officers who died in the same year.
