I finished Chapter 6 of Marble It Up! Holy shit that was tough.

I never got around to the sequels but InFamous was one of those games I loved to hate. You had a great powerset, movement was a blast, combat was solid, but I absolutely hated being Cole McGrath, the pure distillation of every other late 00's video game hero: a surly, bland crewcut asshole. I could be misremembering,…
Hell, Cole’s way of getting around town in the first two - skating around on a wire strung between building, hopping off and floating to the next wire - is the most fun get-around-town mechanic I’ve ever played.
These games were great. Yeah, not perfect but way better than most super-hero games.
Any discussion regarding Heavy Rain for me definitely falls under the category of “I laugh lest I weep.” So much potential from this concept and resources wasted. But at least we’ll always have SHAAAUUUUUNNN~~!
Enjoy Celeste! The difficulty curve for the story missions is perfect, in my opinion. I petered out once I got into extra levels, but I would say go as far as your determination takes you. You’ll be surprised how far that takes you!
Long time no see, folks. Haven’t done much gaming after finishing Spider-Man. I was a bit burned out too tbh. None of my backlog stuff really spoke to me so for the past few weeks, I’ve played some Apex Legends, Fortnite and then this week tried out Dauntless. It’s a free Monster Hunter Lite. I like the visual style…
On the docket for this weekend:
Salutations~!
Mr. and Mrs. Hill, decided in the late 1990s to name their daughter Cypress
When it comes to side content in a Yakuza game, I just do whatever looks interesting to me in the moment. There’s no need to do anything but the story-critical path (give or take some grinding for stats).
Sleater-Kinney should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, there I said it.
Oddly timely, I just picked up a 6-pack of AB ... I love that they’re 16oz cans ... “Oh, I’m just having two ...” :D Even though it’s a bit hoppy, it’s still my departure from straight up IPAs like Torpedo or Jai Alai.
I am loving their new hairstyles.
While I love reading about new stuff I haven’t heard before (or wasn’t aware was forthcoming), the absolute best part of these articles is the comments sections where everyone talks about what they’re excited for. I’ve learned about so many musicians on here. Thanks, fellow AV Clubbers!
Tha’s some good beer, there
For limited/standalone runs: Planetary, Kingdom Come, Batman: The Long Halloween and its sequel Batman: Dark Victory, All-Star: Superman, Superman: American Alien, the Omega Men, and Lex Luthor: Man of Steel.
Doom Patrol is great. Titans is fine. I haven’t watched but the new Young Justice cartoons are supposed to be great too. That’s all there now, so for $7 you could watch those in a month. Otherwise you can wait until early August when Swamp Thing finishes and watch all the episodes then.
I don’t think it’s worth signing up for the year unless 1) You know that you’re going to watch all of their shows, good or bad, or 2) You want access to their entire digital library. Even if you’ve read all the hits (Dark Knight Returns, Superman: Red Son, etc.) I think it’s worth just picking a series and starting…
It’s a genetic condition, she’s in fact the biological daughter of Swamp Thing and Daddy Mac from 90s kid rap duo Kriss Kross.
