Definitely agree about making more classics (and not-so-classics) available. I have never owned any generation of Xbox, so Microsoft’s efforts on this as described in the article are a bit irrelevant to my interests— although of course the point is that I could go back now and experience some of these crazy old games

What Have You Finished This Week?

First off, I should mention that we have a new Game Revue Club discussion over on the Gameological group on Steam: Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Come share your thoughts here (or at the equivalent spot within Steam):

I used to play guitar decades ago (made a couple of homebrew albums as a late-teen-early-20s back in the 1990s that never made it beyond me and maybe 10 friends, but hey, I had a lot of fun)... and nowadays, every time I reach for the ol’ Stratocaster again, it’s usually with a book in hand that focuses on chord

She’s using your discomfort as a defensive advantage. Go ahead and punch for the boob.

Just got Splatoon 2 in the mail today (and Mario Odyssey, for later), but my Internet happens to be busted today so I couldn’t download the obligatory download. It’ll be my first time with Splatoon so I am psyched. I will distribute my user ID once I have properly fired up the game and gotten a general idea of how it

Check out Stew over here, going full Paul Hogan!

I guess one thing about Bastion is that you have to love the music. Other than that, the story doesn’t necessarily get to be worth caring about until the last 10-15% (unless you’re a Care So Much type of dude like myself who loves any kind of tragic story arc), so I could see where the gameplay could get a bit boring

It’s OK, Merve. The suffering is over now. It’s all over.

I got to the part in the first sentence where it says the overseas version is called “Macaroni Rascals” and couldn’t read any further because of being dead. Dead of laughter.

Congratulations! (?) (!)

What Have You Finished This Week?

First off, I should mention that nominations are closing tonight at 9pm for the next Game Revue Club, so if you’ve got ideas for great games to play, propose them here (or at the equivalent location within Steam). Voting kicks off later tonight or tomorrow morning.

I avoid hints and walkthroughs like the plague, so I didn’t read past the first sentence of your post. Thanks anyhow ;)

Also, -10 pretentious points because I’m pretty sure swans don’t venture onto the open sea and in any case they lay their eggs on land.

Like sands through the hourglass... so are the days of our lives.

Oh yeah, it has been almost a year so I was definitely intending to restart from scratch.

Fair enough. And yet... there are different types of people in the world. Clearly, a lot of people have really liked this game over the years. Isn’t it OK (even from that anxiety perspective, which I certainly understand) to let your intrinsic sense of your value as a person resonate with the positive reactions, even

I have to say that I did figure out relatively early (well... not all that long before bailing out at the 10-hour mark) how to read the signs that a given puzzle required knowledge that I hadn’t yet acquired. But yeah, it was not always blazingly obvious, and that’s a bold decision in itself to have an open-world

Totally. The core problem here is that certain people conspicuously fail to include themselves under “everyone”.
