MWC got more cartoony as the years went on but the early, sorta-realistic (such as they were) seasons and the peak (2-6, say) are genuinely great. The scripts and acting, especially then, are very underrated.

Yeah, there’s something vaguely annoying, or at least eye-rolling, about the gun and the taser and the barbed-wire bat. I almost hope that little bit was made exclusively for a teaser or trailer and never actually appears in the show.
