Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special nominations-- four stand-up comedy specials and... the Oscars? Huh.

Big recognizable names, I assume. (Same with The Morning Show, which I’ve never seen but reviews and such seem to have hated fairly universally.)

The Drones and now Tropical Fuck Storm, as well.

Movies (& tv) vs. advertising, I guess? The clause in the will mentions “product advertising purposes”, which obvious ads fall under, though I guess legally a movie wouldn’t. (A trailer seems like a gray area, but if it’s from the movie itself....)

That’s proving the overall point though (which may or may not be made in this thread, I merely skimmed it in true AV Club tradition, so I may be introducing it here) — in Hollywood, nepo babies ( / brothers / nieces / cousins / what-have-you) have been a thing for decades upon decades. Presumably they’re finding every way they can to fuck over the cast and crew money-wise, but I would have thought that the release model is separate from that, and not considered until the season’s made. Which is to say, they wouldn’t be making the show as if it were a network broadcast, where they film an episode and

It even kinda looks like the same guy.

If he’s going to be flipped in this version, then how does Anakin end up in the Life Support suit?

Two brief observations:

You monster, take your star.

*taps nose knowingly*

Yeah, I got to that line and thought “Wait, didn’t Wells Fargo have to pay some huge fine a few years ago, or was accused of massive fraud, or something?”
