GWAR, obviously.
GWAR, obviously.
I wonder how much turnover there’s been in the writing and production staff over the years (or I guess, more to the point, how little). Every season has its ups and downs of course but the show really has been remarkably consistently good-to-great over just about its entire run. Last season’s finale “Amelia”, for…
It wasn’t really clear if you’d definitely get one and at least up to ten, or if getting anything extra at all was a crapshoot. I guess I’ll find out over the next few days. I moved some stuff up to the top, just in case-- even though it also wasn’t really clear if the up-to-ten was from your first ten spots in the…
In similar best-trailer / worst-movie vein, it was done to great effect with a trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 and New Order’s “Blue Monday”.
I generally don’t have a problem with profanity at all, I mean, I use it all the time— my issue is usually that it’s too often used too much, too clumsily, or timed poorly, or otherwise in such a way as to blunt the effect. Mostly talking about pop culture here (think of bad, Tarantino-knockoff-type movies) than…
This specific usage aside... that’s kinda cool.
If I remember correctly, even in the body of the movie before that, New York City (and presumably, therefore, a good portion of the rest of the world’s coastlines) was flooded up to like the 30th floor of the Empire State Building. So some pretty bad shit had gone down, hard, already.

This is amazing. As if I needed another reason to think Letterman was a goddamn comedy genius.
The first one (the only one I’ve seen) is fine when you realize you don’t really have to pay attention to it as you watch it.
I saw that yesterday (or Saturday, maybe), but I’d thought the articles I looked at were too new to have any comments— though I did notice that there was no ‘Reply’ button to even add anything, so subconsciously I probably knew something was up, though I dismissed it at the time as just another instance of Kinja’s…
I’m in the middle of a DS9 rewatch and got up to Damar’s first episode a week or so ago. I don’t remember much (or, really, anything) of Damar’s later arc, other than that there is one and it’s pretty great, but it was nevertheless pretty funny that his first appearance is like 2 lines deep in the background of a…
I just saw this as well (finished about 15 minutes ago). For what it is, it does the job. Obviously there’s plenty ridiculous about it but you know what, it does its thing and then it’s over, and you don’t really want more out of a movie like this than that.
Måneskin’s not real, right?
Fuck you for dredging those demon monstrosities out of my subconscious where I thought I’d successfully buried them.
I sort of remember reading some interview somewhere that that’s basically what they did, intentionally, with each season finale— write themselves into a corner and then take the break to figure out how the heck to get out.
In a just world there’d have been four or five sequels by now.
That or “Oh shit the deadline’s tomorrow” panicking. Or both!
YEAH IT’S FOUR YEARS LATER SO WHAT I ONLY JUST SAW THE MOVIE anyway....
