It’s much, much more nitpicky and annoying?

“Friendliness is the enemy of innovation” is the kind of thing a CEO would say, yes.

The dude jumping off a cliff onto the griffon’s back seems like a direct lift from Avatar (and probably a bunch of other, older movies where someone did it onto a horse)

“it looks cool so shut up” is actually one of the positive things you can say about a Zac Snyder film.

Also.... that they go by “Catturd” on Xwitter is another clue.

Catturd also can’t seem to understand that one person— the, as the article says “CEO / adult in the room”— replied to the ‘liberal’ (Lewinsky), and a different person— the stunted man-child who doesn’t think about a decision beyond smirking about it— responded to them, and that therefore the responses may be different

Fawlty Towers was two 6-episode series, four years apart.

Sure, I wouldn’t want it (a sell-off) until after they shut it down, or at least not until the last few days before, for the same reason.

All these dumbshit companies would have to do is change their thinking to “less not-growth” than “more growth” as a driver for profit, and things would be so much better. Including profit!

Well, to be (grudgingly) fair, it’s not clear if it’s chosen randomly out of the queue, or if you pick which up-to-10 you want from your queue.

Maybe not a coincidence then that the helmet in that comic cover (and header image) look very Iron Man-y?

Same here. And I discovered recently that the few times it would let me even look at someone’s main twitter page (perhaps after clicking to see the replies to an article-embedded tweet, and not being able to see them) it would show that person’s twitter feed not in chronological order anymore, but seemingly random.

I expected John C Reilly to be listed twice (the second time for Walk Hard) but nope.

I loathe Trump (mostly I just never want to see his fat greasy face ever again) but I’ll admit he has a bizarre, inverted sort of charisma. DeSantis is just creepily offputting.

It may be a typo, or the typical AVClub editing skills these days, but he’s described as an “aspiring farmer”, which is goddamn hilarious.

Like this guy did...

And I think revolutionary for the time, being entirely epistolary (not just this one chapter).

‘Character name is intended to fit into the title phrase’ is definitely a sign that a movie’s not going to be great. Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be terrible, but it’s not the mark of something special.

I believe it’s spelled “liberry”.

It helps if you imagine that after Newsradio ended Joe Rogan left Hollywood and has been working on a fishing boat or something ever since.
