There's no hype or leading on. Nothing has been announced or said by Valve.
If you haven't checked out Portal 2 - The Final Hours, I highly recommend it. it gives an inside look at how things happen inside Valve, very interesting stuff. And it's only two bucks.

There's a point where it stops being 'ASAP' and starts taking too long, while tech keeps marching on and your project is suddenly obsolete. Not saying Valve will fall for that, like Daikatana or Duke Nukem Forever did. However, expectations also keep rising and the longer you take, the harder it will be to meet those…
So true. The door opening, pistol shot, ladder climbing, and headcrab dying are all examples of classic sounds from HL that I could recognise for years afterwards.
Yes! I love movement in games.
You can double click on a video to fullscreen it, and it should work even in the absence of the button. I might be wrong though.
Leave it to the Japanese to come up with idiotic sounding English names for... well pretty much anything.
My favourite mobile game so far. Uses touch without convoluting things with virtual gamepad controls, it's cute, it's smart... I just love it.
Why not?
I'm a PC gamer and I love Valve / Steam, but I don't think the "Steam Box" model is going to have much success. It's not simplified enough to serve as a console - it still needs hardware upgrading and software patching and what not - and it's not flexible enough to serve as a full fledged PC. It's straddling a line…
Is this really the Doom engine? In the video we see vertical mouselook and sloped surfaces. Looks more like the BUILD engine to me. (Duke Nukem, Shadow Warrior, BLOOD)
The PC streaming thing. Is it over local Wi-Fi only or remotely as well? This is a crucial point, and it was not clarified. If it's local only, it's pretty much useles. If it's remote... that would be really something.
What in the fuck is happening in that screenshot? WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING
It's not necessary, but the first game is pretty enjoyable so I'd say do play it before the 2nd.
True that, there is more integrity here.
Agreed about all of this. I've been playing the games since Operation Flashpoint, and with every consecutive title in the series, my frustration grows as they don't improve anything. I deeply regret buying ARMA2CO, even at half price.
Never heard of that. Sources?
