I like them as a way to extend my time with a game I'm really into. It's fun to have some additional goals to pursue after I've beaten a game.

the problem I think is that to add it would require a change to how the PS5 architecture works. quick resume works thanks to hypervisor. since there is a layer above the environment it can manage the ram and restore it easily. the same is not true on ps5.

But physical games are also dependent on servers and downloads in order for them to work. That got started with the PS3/360 generation. If they ever turn off the servers for patches on those consoles a lot of retro games will become useless.

I liked season 1, Chief was an actual character, they did a decent job digging into the SPARTAN program and all that awful shit, action scenes and effects were solid enough. The sex scene was idiotic, and Kwan and her B-plot was terrible, those were my biggest issues.

I’m waiting for it to appear on Gamepass, otherwise its a no go for me.

Hill and co saw the writing on the wall the second they were asked to make this game. It’s clear Warner thought the og Suicide Squad movie was going to be their deadpool and then added the whole live services BS on top of it.

physical games are just the DRM code these days. You still have to download the majority of the game. Physical is dead and has been since PS4/XbOne
