I think the $30 is what I’m in the most disbelief over. Overall I’m loving the games with all those added perks and the QoL improvements that I didn’t notice at first. I watched a youtube video on what they added to the game and I didn’t realize they reworked TR1 to play like TR2-3, so Lara controls differently and

I’ve been playing it since release and I love it. Which I figured I would when I saw Kotaku didn’t like the game.

I mean $30 is ridiculous for the amount of work they put into the games. That’s something I would have expected to run $60. Like the half-assed Metal Gear collection for $60.

They’ve done this before in the past. Like when Halo Anniversary was announced they had posts praising that’s how you should to remasters then when the review came they were like “we can’t recommend this game”.

I know I’ll survive. I got that one specifically because it was the Spider-Man 2 bundle with the plates and controller. I did it so that it would match my Spider-Man PS4 Pro but from how my setup is you can’t even see the PS5.

Same, I bought mine last September and a month later the slim came out.

While it could have easily been an Xbox Wire update, it was nice to actually hear from the team.

Thankfully my twitter feed has calmed down. I ended up blocking a bunch of people for how they were acting on the rumors. I do like the name Console Zealots.

This generation has felt like the smallest leap we’ve had. If they didn’t do PS4 Pro and One X it may have felt differently. I have both PS5 and Series X but they’re largely similar to the previous gen. The only difference is with raytracing in games and having that nVMD to work with.

It also doesn’t help that 1st party games seem to be on gamepass indefinitely. The only reason to buy them would be if you weren’t planning on keeping your subscription.

If that turns out to be true that’d be the perfect replacement for my One X. I’ve already been debating getting a Series S to replace it but the lack of a drive was a deal breaker for me.

This is a weird gen with that and I remember last gen consoles dying off sooner. Same for the Xbox side of things, games are still getting released for XBO.

It was the opposite, the PS5 Slim got a price increase. The digital PS5 is $399 and the digital slim is $449. Then if you decided to get the disc drive down the road for $79 the PS5 Slim costs $519 but if you get the bundle you save $20. I don’t think we’ve ever seen a console increase in price midway through its life

I feel you on that. I finally jumped the gun and got the Spider-Man 2 bundle with the limited edition console to match my Spider-Man PS4 Pro. Talk about being underwhelmed with the console. I know I need to give it time and play more games on it but still when I look at it I always ask why. After I got the platinum

Also I don’t know how blindly he accepted the offer. If a deal came to me to offer me that I’d expect a big discount or something. This takes me back to when we were car shopping for my wife. One dealership offended us so much we just left the dealer because they were charging markups on all cars and the sales guy was

and…a photo mode? (You won’t want to use the photo mode. I couldn’t find the photo mode.)

Xbox Twitter is making it seem like the world is ending. I’m withholding judgment until they clear the air this Thursday.

Especially if it’s timed releases too since I can see them releasing games on PS5 a year after they do on Xbox/PC. I honestly be surprised if they did day 1 across Xbox, PS, and PC.

That’s definitely me. I have both consoles, PS5 and Series X, and I much prefer using the Series X over the PS5. It just seems more user friendly and more functionality. I’m also surprised how much the PS5 has locked behind PS+, I haven’t gotten to use the advertised features because I’m currently not subscribed. I

I need to give that a try. I do have an older 4K (older as in 5-6 years) and it does 4k60 and 1080p120. I never think to do that.
