I use "I Can't Wake Up!" on my phone. It gives a pre-set number of "free" snoozes, and then makes you scan barcodes (from a list you previously made) before it will shut up. Once I'm out of bed I can usually get going, but getting the feet on the floor is the hard part, and this forces me to do it.

Now we just need an extension to use Youtube without being asked to join Google+.

Hire some muscle, they'll pay...

Lifehacker has covered the legality of ripping DVDs before so they're being quite straightforward about it. In the end they are the ones who decide what they should discuss regardless.

Not sure this is something I'd be willing to pay for, but I love the snooper's shirt.

Probably got suckered into it by an obnoxious salesperson at their auto insurance.

$1200 doesn't go very far in Oakland or Walnut Creek either. Yes, they're better than San Francisco, but that doesn't make them anywhere near reasonable compared to the rest of the country.

I don't always fall through ice, but when I do I save myself with my beard.

Take a look at Samsung's response regarding lifespan in their AMA at Tom's Hardware:

Based on the last benchmark comparisons I saw, the FX 8350 goes blow for blow with the i5 3570. Single threaded performance goes to the i5, but the 8350 dominates threaded performance (even catches i7s in some benchmarks). If you want real high-end, an i7 will range from matching to dominating the 8350, but you'll

I use the logitech g330 when I need a mic, and my ATH m50s when I don't. I suppose maybe I should just get a separate mic, but generally if I need to talk I don't care that much about having the highest quality sound.

The headphones look like a knockoff of the AKG K240 MKIIs, I wonder how the sound compares between the two.

Don't believe everything the seller says. Always check.

The Hard Drive: Western Digital WD Green 2TB, $89: We like Western Digital's Green drives for their low power consumption and quiet operation, which is ideal in a home theater PC. 2TB should be enough to hold a ton of movies on your HTPC, but if you're storing them somewhere else—like your own home server or NAS—you

I generally look through the list and remove things I know are crap (hello AOL) first. Then anything I don't recognize I google to find out what it is. Once you know what it is, it shouldn't be that difficult to decide if it's necessary.

I've done this a number of times, and the only time I ran into driver problems was when Dell gave me the wrong video driver. Once I grabbed the right one from ATI everything was fine and dandy. I honestly find the "nuclear" option easier than trying to hunt down all the BS that comes on a pre-built machine.

I've been quite happy with my leaf. I easily pick up channels from the far side of the SF bay. I do get signal loss on some channels when the BART goes by, but then again I am right next to it, so that's not all that surprising.

Melting the ice by heating up your car has an annoying side effect. Once you get to your destination you'll have a windshield covered in a nice smooth layer of water. As your car sits there, that's going to freeze into the most annoying ice layer you've ever seen. You're much better off taking a few minutes with a

So you're ok with someone telling your daughter they have a dick for her on the internet. Just to be clear.

Maybe you should ask your parents or grandparents about their first romantic conversations. I'm willing to bet they didn't involve your dad offering your mom a dick.
