I wouldn’t even call it a call out, either. I just sort of stopped him. But once he started with “the lean-in,” he’s committed and there’s no way it won’t be weird. Oh well...

He’s trying to look human, but in a half hearted and resentful sort of way.
I will be blissfully alone on Thursday. I am making a turkey because it is the cheapest thing at the market this week. Going to see orient express in the morning. Football and bed early.
FWIW we had friendsgiving today and there was a boatload of carby food, and we still ran out of mashed potatoes. My husband gets anxious whenever we entertain and he thinks we might not have enough food or booze. He bought about 4 dozen rolls for Friendsgiving and sent me out for mayo and cheese this morning in case…
I think he should learn from his mistakes and try to figure out his blindspots. Giving money to charities is nice, but it will not really buy absolution. Also if he sees another man doing something horrible stick up for the victim.
This is going to be a bummer, sorry, but I need help.
I once thought my mom was pregnant, but she wasn’t. Even as a little kid it was awkward.
I think Facebook has caused people to lose their compassion and common sense. A friends brother committed suicide and his 18 year old daughter found out about it from Facebook. Not one single person thought that maybe they should wait until someone had a chance to let her mother know so she could have that horrible…
That’s awful, I’m sorry your family had to go through that. I found out my grandfather died on Facebook, but we were estranged since well before mu birth so it doesn’t really seem relevant. I can only imagine how awful it would be for someone close.
I still miss Carrie Fisher. I can’t imagine how her family felt when that story broke, it was brutal. We’re all conditioned to want to know information asap, but it really sucks when something like this happens, or like with Tom Petty. I can’t imagine what it’s like to find out your loved one has died/is dying from…
I would love it if Amazon retitled the show The Pfefferman Pfamily.
Hey, Sandy Duncan stepped in well after Valerie Harper left a show that had her name in the title*. All things are possible.
We have them in America too. They’re contraband, but they’re not exactly hard to find.
This may be the first and last time I will ever say this, but DAMN I AM PROUD TO BE AN AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN RIGHT NOW. When the outcome was announced this morning I actually cried. Proper tears, like.
I don’t know about you but I saw ads for the No campaign—a campaign built on spreading homophobic lies and intolerance—every day on tv, even multiple times a day. I saw it on social media and ads played before YouTube videos. I saw signs in front yards, and stickers on cars and bus stops. I drove past groups with…
I know. I live in the UK - our last mass shooting was in 2010. Yeah we get terrorist attacks but guns are so restricted I don’t even know where I’d get one from and would have to be really vetted if I wanted one. Mass shootings in America seem like it’s a new national sport. I’m actually surprised when there isn’t at…
Too late to talk about Texas. Too soon to talk about Las Vegas. No matter what, it’s never the right time.
That’s why I love Donna’s version. It’s a ridiculous song and Donna knows it, which is why she goes full crazy on it. It makes it super fun to sing along with.
“That S&M flick with Jim Caviezal” is the only way that movie should be described.
Fair enough. People didn’t go to the disco to meditate on the deep poetical profundities of The Village People or The Bee Gees.
