Start-stop isn’t about saving you money. You haven’t generated 4.5 gallons’-worth of emissions while stationary in 2.5 years.

Or, you know, fixed speed cameras beside the road, or average speed cameras over a stretch. In this day and age, having them live-stream the activities of people stopping to vandalize them would still work out cheaper than drones.

Uh, how many microns, again?

I’m also interested in the ‘remotely operated ground drone’, which I take to be an overgrown militarized RC car. I look forward to the creator of this thing turning up at Battle Bots after the war is over.

Car is advertised on the West coast, is supposedly physically on the East coast, dealer is located somewhere in between.

I’m in the passing lane of a two-lane road (right hand lane, it was in England), passing slower cars while staying very close to the speed limit. A marked police car comes up behind me, so I sped up slightly to pull into the left lane so they can get past. They pulled me over for speeding :-(

It must be weird to drive this and nearly be able to look modern pickup drivers in the eye.

I’ve said it for years. Your basic licence should entitle you to drive vehicles up to 100 bhp per ton. Five years after getting your licence, given no driving infractions, you can take a second test to entitle you to 200 bhp per ton - a figure which includes a *lot* of performance vehicles (and if you don’t like it,

A moron who left their vehicle and licence information at the dealership before their test drive... can’t run away from that.

Nothing here that can’t be fixed with a law mandating that all salesmen be armed, preferably with a gun bought from one of the NRA’s sponsors!

This is easily fixed by redefining part of the RRP as a new ‘mandatory charge’, such as a $2500 ‘assembly charge’. RRP can be any arbitrary number you want.

Why doesn’t he have the confidence to make the investment out of his own pocket?

They also sound good at the Barrett-Jackson auction. It’s a one-of-one car due to its unique VIN!

I guess the $45M/week didn’t get him the carve-out exception he expected.

You really think he even remotely gives enough of a damn about his supporters to remember that? What’s in it for him?

I think *I* might urine in it the first time it pulls hard then brakes.

If he’s so dissatisfied with the senior leadership of the armed forces, maybe he should complain to someone who was Commander-in-Chief for four years recently?

Meh - I’ll send my guy down to see how it compares with my others, might nab it as a spares car.

But *only* if you vote for Trump. If he doesn’t win, then sadly Musk won’t have the necessary motivation to release it.

Translation: I expect a return on my $45M-a-week investment, in the form of legislation and executive orders to skew the market in my favour.
