Appearing as a guest on Variety’s The Big Ticket podcast, Gal Gadot stated she hopes Wonder Woman 3 provides the character with “a nice closure.”

I think it’s just that trilogies have come to be seen as the cinematic equivalent of a nice round number, the third one is due to bring the character into the present, and Jenkins is surely done after that so regardless of what might come next it’s the end of an era.
