Dune Pillow Talk

Grimes: You? Went into outer space? You?

She apologized and said she should have worded it better. What kind of awesome liberal purity do you have that she’s not a valuable ally? She got successful, how dare this woman get successful and make minor mistakes, then apologize and say she’s always trying to be better? She’s definitely not good enough right?

If a parent actually parents there is no issue.

Exactly. In fact the only reason Strange got involved is because of the time stone. These sorcerers have a very specific set of responsibilities and don’t seem to deviate much.

Captain Marvel is the answer to WW not Black Widow. As a 4 decade long Marvel and DC Comic buyer, I am not the least bit interested in a BW movie.

Look, all he wanted was a tuna sandwich, okay? Is that too much to ask?

That we know of. I mean, let’s face it, if Dormammu or some other motherfucker breaks through and eats our entire reality because everyone wandered off and left the Sanctums unguarded, who’s going to protect us? Thanos?

Um. He said why he wasn’t there. He had to protect the Inner Sanctum.

A Black Widow movie would have been better than Thor: The Dark World, and beaten Jennifer Lawrence to the punch. I guess the point I’m making is that it is unfortunate that she was the only major female superhero in the MCU for a while, because the character isn’t that interesting, as written in the movies. In the MCU, she is not a very well-developed character. I would love to see more movies with female characters (and directors), but I’m not clamoring for

“long-awaiting, much-requested”

...because these are just movies and I’m not planning on spending the next year until IW2 crying my eyes out?

Of course, it’s easy to dismiss all of this as taking the Marvel universe far too seriously.

I always very much disliked Reynolds. He’s just so smarmy. And I always disliked Deadpool, who seemed so terribly Poochy in his intentional edginess. But combining the two made for such a fun movie that I can’t wait for the sequel. They took two things which I strongly dislike and turned them into an awesome

The film itself went to the bathroom during that scene. All over the place.

One of the weirdest things about that movie was how it seemed like it was made - or at least edited - by a toxically macho and unself-aware highschool jock. That scene was filmed like a triumphant use of his GL powers, when those two guys were beating him up because he had cost them their jobs. Because he had spazzed
