I like that Franklin’s narrative is about freedom, empowerment and independence. He’s trying to make a name for himself, get ahead in the world and fights for respect. He walks through the Black Panther HQ and imagines himself as some sort of revolutionary.

It’s funny how homophobia seems to be much easier to stamp out than racism. I guess it’s in large part because white people often have a family member who comes out as LGBT+, and we all know conservatives only start caring about other people when it might affect them or someone close to them.

You have so much more faith in the system than I do. Mueller could turn up an actual dead body, and Paul Ryan would shrug and say, “Taxes,” while Trump’s supporters will find a way to blame Obama. I mean, the guy has already pretty much been exposed as obstructing justice...and we don’t even talk about it any more.
