it was a good idea but poor execution. probably should’ve just gone with a themed hotel idea rather than fully immersive experience. oh well looks like at least a few folks here enjoyed it, so that’s something. but as usual its striking how much money to burn these corporations have, mind-boggling.
its not like her voice is that great or anything, feels like this would get old awfully fast.
So sort of a post-millennium Eric Idle
they wouldn’t say “a back injury” if it applied to multiple people
i dunno, feels like the old “if you think everyone you intereact with is a jerk, maybe its really you that’s the jerk” kind of thing (paraphrasing Justified)
i think its a movie where if you didn’t see it in 3-D at the theaters its pretty hard to understand what all the fuss is about. i didn’t and have never understood lol. skipped the sequel
BUT IT MADE BILLIONS DON”T YOU GET IT!!!!?!!! lol
i assume some of that is to make the CGI easier? i dunno
Luke was always pretty whiny, Han was always the cool one (at least until the ST - i found his reverting back to being a smuggler pretty depressing)
that would be my take as well. ROTJ had some troubling signs but man was TPM bad.
no thanks
Sounds about right. been awhile for me too, and while i don’t always like King as much as some I do recall enjoying his Supergirl run.
its crazy to me how some animated series seem to live on as zombies forever, while other good ones can’t get renewed for a 2nd season.
You know, some of us are old enough to remember the original!
well this is one thing i do blame on young people (relatively speaking, of course)
hope it does well but feels like there is little demand for this show after all this time.
my recollection that it was perceived of as being very slow and not a lot of action. i was only 8 when it came out though
to my mind, star wars should feel like a modern update to the old serial Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers space operas, both on film and printed comic strips. i did not get that vibe much from the PT, while i did more or less get that vibe from Force Awakens as well as Mando, at least.
i’m sorry but it sounds like a lot of the “influences” TPM had on subsequent filmmakers was negative. for instance, emphasis on world-building rather than having a satisfying plot, too much attention paid to potential for spin-offs and sequels over a more self-contained story.
