the buddy comedy angle sounds good to me.  worried they will try and shoehorn Black Manta in even if he doesn’t really fit in the story organically, but we’ll see i guess.

i thought it had a lot of potential but didn’t really enjoy the show despite liking the cast.  League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comes to mind as well of course

These are supposed to be scary monsters, having them team up like a more grotesque version of the Avengers was always ridiculous

man am i sick of hearing about jfk’s assassination.  plus mamet’s sell-by date expired a long long time ago

it ain’t no fun

alas “you’re either with us or against us” works quite well on a lot of people.

uhh i’m not sure working with Tambor was the great experience you’re making it sound like

i think some of these guys expected the Dems to step in and save McCarthy and are now the dog that caught the car

well, if you like that, you may just want to check out another little film called The Harder They Come

In fairness, they were also given the option of talking like that 7up “never had it, never will ha ha ha” guy - even though he’s not Jamaican.

you have to admit it would be pretty funny of they landed on the planet and the first thing they run into is B.O.B.   i’m not sure any of the actors from that movie are still around but i’m sure AI can handle it

yeah its like jon snow. they could’ve had a spartacus moment where everyone stands up and says “i am solo” with the catch being its actually true this time

ok, but hear me out, what if he was wearing a speedo?

not sure i would call these “burning” questions, i guess i’m mildly curious about the answers to some of them.

“ah’m invulnerable while ah’m blastin’?

sure, but that feels like a bit much for the first marvel x-men movie, maybe for a sequel.  also a savage land movie would be fun, again not as the first x-men movie but somewhere in there. Sauron’s cool, Ka-zar too

- avoid “team origin” focused movie

it took this long bc for some reason the powers- that- be thought audiences were up for another really slow build up to the next big event, via a series of sequels that were generally inferior to their predecessors, prequels nobody asked for, and projects focused around establishing legacy characters for the original

enjoying this series so far, as it seems to have more sympathetic characters (especially compared to the first season of the Boys). I mean the original has Hughie and Starlight but Hughie is more often than not used as the butt of jokes.

it reminds me of when they got Jennifer Beals for BOBF and did nothing with her. Danny Trejo too but i understand his appearance was more of a Robert Rodriguez-connection thing.
