Next up: Man Getting Hit By Football, starring Harrison Ford
he was also the lead on the AMC old west series “hell on wheels”. which also has another star trek connection via Colm Meaney
yeah this seems awfully similar to the “hydra’s been embedded for decades!” plotline in Winter Soldier.
how many people do you think watch the D+ series (or any mcu project, for that matter) and start running out and buying comics? and btw she does not currently have a series so i’m not sure what comic people would be running out to buy, unless you think people watch Ms Marvel and decide to go buy Spider-Man comics for…
so we are to presume there is a correlation between standing ovation length and quality of the movie? cuz i thought i heard that Clerks 2 also got a 9 minute ovation, or was it 8. Does the ovation begin when the 1st person stands up or when everybody is standing? does it keep going until the last person sits down?…
continuing to enjoy this show and the season, no sophomore slump here imo. i did find it a bit convenient that cleanshaveCoach was out and about when the rest were deciding whom to choose to sacrifice. i feel like he might have been able to prevent it, mostly on the strength of his newly-renewed bond with Misty
wow that’s a bummer. hope the finale is an extra long ep as it feels like there are a lot of plot threads to address, but mostly i just like the show and don’t want it to end so soon
is it? i assumed it was 10 eps and that there were 2 to go
well i finally got around to watching this thing, and its.... not great. the material is just such an awkward fit for ant-man, whose franchise’s bread-and-butter revolves around amusing size-changing antics, anchored by Paul Rudd’s definitely-not-Captain-America reluctant superhero/thief. Here Rudd is much more of a…
will just have to line it with aluminum foil
i hope by 2024 people will get sick of talking about “optics”. there’s enough stuff to genuinely be outraged or offended by, maybe we can quit going out of our way to find more
what you’ll have is a bunch of people who don’t buy comic books complaining about “optics” endlessly. she’s obviously not THAT popular with folks who read comics or she’d still have her own title
but she doesn’t have her own comic? i suppose they could’ve had her die in avengers or somesuch, assuming she’s currently on a team
fridging usually refers to killing off a female supporting character to motivate the male lead. i guess that could apply here since its (apparently) taking place in a Spidey comic, but i wouldn’t say it automatically qualifies as fridging at this point, as Ms Marvel is more of a main character or ensemble/team member…
sigh. i suppose this is being used as a shortcut to establish just how badass a new villain is.
i think this is a pretty good take, altho i think COVID helped cement Endgame as the jumping off point and that disney make some bad decisions in phase 4 that didn’t help matters, but yeah a decline after Endgame felt inevitable
i don’t recall any weird optics around Shang-Chi, i thought most felt it was one of the highlights, if not the acme, of phase 4.
agree with all of that. and with the right budget and script i think Inhumans could’ve worked, but obviously that wasn’t the case. I’m glad Anson Mount got to play a more proper Blackbolt in MoM at least.
heh we think along similar lines
