I wouldn't call that morally gray, though. More like some side drama, aside from Kurome and Esdeath, the other members are getting minor backstories, Wave will probably be, at most, made into an opponent for Tatsume. Not going to spew manga spoilers, but Run is exceptionally disappointing.

You didn't give up to soon. If another season finishes airing, or the manga finishes, you should pick it up back then with those exact expectations.

Really, it was my childhood that slowly worked me into anime. From Jetix, Toonami, and all the video game influences, final fantasy, etc. It'd be hard not to have had a natural interest in anime.
