As silly as Durant and Brown’s quotes must be, why would you say anything else publicly? You don’t mock the other team OR their town. How hard is that?

In addition to the shit reference, it also reminds me of William Shatner since he played Captain Kirk.

I sit in the outfield bleachers a lot at A’s games, and while I hear fans razz the outfielders a lot, I’ve never heard anybody say anything racist. Lots of stupid stuff though. A few good ones.

If I was out there and heard something racist I would get the usher and try to help put a stop to it. We’re too good for

Same way you throw it down.

I was watching a lot of the series too and enjoying how back and forth it was. Was amazed to find out yesterday when the Jazz went up by 15 that it was the biggest lead for either team IN THE SERIES. In a Warriors game it’s not unlikely for both teams to have that in the same game.

I am really impressed by the Jazz

“Did you watch him wipe out the Spurs last year?”

That was two years ago. In other words, three craptastic flameouts ago.

I think Chris Paul is great, and unless you have a top 5 PG, there’s not reason to not be ecstatic he’s on your team, but he has some serious competitive weaknesses and he’s a big reason why their

Yeah but Melo sucks worse than any of those guys. I could see keeping Paul. Even though he has plenty of flaws, I could see him as a piece on a really really good team.

But right now it’s the BSoD.

At least DC teams are routinely making the playoffs now. Ten years ago, not so much.

This is a GREAT point! Everybody above who is pointing the finger at free throw shooters not doing their job while IGNORING the fact that this rule is allowing the entire defense to not do their job!! This sums up the lameness of the rule and the hypocrisy of its advocates.

To put it better, the defense should never be able to dictate EXACTLY how the offense has to try to score. Literally in any sport.

Congrats though, you really nailed Pink Skull there.

“You can’t find another example across sports because no other sport has superstars that struggle with fundamental aspects of a game. If a RB had a penchant for fumbling, maybe you could force the team to hand it to him and hope for a fumble. But RB’s with fumblitis don’t play.”

No. It’s because the defense has ZERO

This would only affect intentional away from the ball fouls.

Sorry those are both takes.

But the critical difference is that the pitching team doesn’t get to hit right after.

In all your cases, the other team STILL gets a CHOICE as to how they respond. ONLY in the NBA do the have 100% control over how the team they are doing this ‘strategy’ to has to try to score. It’s fucking ridiculous. And it’s a mockery of the sport. It grinds the actual sport to a halt in favor of a very bad, boring

AND, CRUCIALLY, the team giving up the walk does not get to hit immediately after. They don’t get ‘possession’ so to speak, following that move. HUGE difference.

If another NBA player on the same team got to shoot free throws after the previous one missed, then it would be more equivalent to an intentional walk.

The team that gives up the walk NEVER gets to hit immediately after giving up the IBB.
