I mean, Dallas coulda scored on ONE of those possessions, though, right? And how about Barnes clanking the potential counter-dagger? It’s like nobody in the arena expected his shot to go in, least of all Barnes. Verdict: Mavs suck worse than refs.

I think part of their plan is for ‘what they are getting into’ to not suck so much.

Honduras made the last two world cups (they only lost 2-0 to spain in the WC in Spain’s championship year) and nobody has beaten ANYBODY in a CONCACAF hex match by six goals since 1997.

Your line of argument is extremely worn out. Nobody’s saying the US is ready to win it all, just that this was an excellent

People always complain about the level of competition in CONCACAF. It’s a really worn out line of argument. NOBODY has scored six goals in a CONCACAF hex match since 1997. This match stands on its own. Nobody needs your reminder that this is just Honduras—everybody already knows.

But if you need more: England only beat

People who wish to engage in this sorry debate will just counter that Pulisic is thriving with a Bundesliga club (with some very good Champions League performances) while Donovan failed to get minutes in the Bundesliga in two tries. I completely agree that Donovan had many, many stellar performances with the USMNT (I

Question: can you watch BeIn on delay? If so, I might have to hit that up. I have a soccer game that was just rescheduled to Tuesday night with the same kickoff time as the USA/Panama game.

I just checked my listings and can confirm that it will be on Telemundo at 7pm pacific on Tuesday.

Jozy made great passes on goals 1, 4, & 5. Those don’t happen without nice touches from him.

I agree it would be nice to see a wider range of competent strikers available and a few appear to be ready to make an impact. But part of the ‘magic’ of Pulisic is that suddenly all the distributing is not on Bradley’s shoulders, all the playmaking is not on Dempsey’s shoulders, and all the finishing is not on

Yeah that is the one big asterisk left. His current level is very high. But it’s less than a year. He could hit a slump, suffer an injury, etc, etc. Guys like Dempsey and Donovan have done it over a very long period of time. Here’s hoping Pulisic’s light can shine that long, and if it does it will be very very bright.

For a game that he didn’t score, Altidore actually had an above average game for him. He had really nice passes in the lead-ups to goals 1, 4, & 5.

But even if he is double man marked at the WC, that opens up space for everyone else on the roster. Assuming they bring a decent roster, that increases their ceiling in 2018.

It’s true—the list of players whose performance was directly and obviously improved by Pulisic’s presence is long:
Altidore
Bradley
Dempsey
Nagbe
Villafana
Lletget

You mean it cannot start when there is merely contact with the ball? Like a deflection? If that is the case I did not know that.

There was one like that with about a minute left where the UNC player got in the way and may have bumped the ball further away from the baseline. IMHO the ref shoulda stopped the clock there. Easily ran at least five seconds off the clock. That one was not Kentucky’s fault and they obviously needed those seconds.

Zoom, we get it, you’re a simpleton.

Fuck mlb’s video player that makes you watch an ad for every replay yet can’t see fit to provide a single additional angle.

Get better at everything so you’re not a piece of shit.

I have no idea what they are saying but that song is awesome.

The assist on the fifth goal was also insane.
