Honestly, good luck with getting people into Ikuhara's works with YKA. If its the first show of his they ever watch, it either works or it doesn't. There's no middle road, trust me, I know from watching my friends go through the process.

I want to watch this film so damn bad. Anything cited as a favorite of Kunihiko Ikuhara's and being Tezuka's swan song at that is bound to be the cinematic experience of a lifetime.

I've actually had the pleasure of getting a few people into Utena who were already familiar with SU, KLK and/or Tutu. Was pretty pleased when they ended up becoming as much of a fan of RGU as I did.
