I live in WRAL’s area, and they’re pretty cool most of the time. The comments on their online articles, however...

Pedant alert: The album was released to massive indifference in 1991. Two Princes was the second single, released in early 1993. I know, because my life experiences in 91 and 93 were vastly different, and I know where I was when Two Princes was inescapable.

It’s been 4 years since their last album. Hmmm...

“Everything is so overplayed and heavy-handed that it’s difficult, and far from enjoyable, to witness.” Funny, that was my exact impression of Six Feet Under. And American Beauty. Those are the only 2 Ball productions I’ve bothered with. I figure if I don’t enjoy his 2 best-known and well-received works, maybe he just

Also, it reached #11 on the Hot 100. See intro to this article, above.

Oh, and “One for the Mockingbird” by Cutting Crew.

“Buttermilk BIscuits” by Sir-Mix-a-Lot! I had a tape of SWASS before “Baby Got Back” was a thing.

Don’t know if they’re truly one-hit wonders, but most people can only name one Flock of Seagulls song (“I Ran”), and it’s probably my 5th favorite (“Space Age Love Song” is at the top, of course).

Now THAT’S ironic.

So, basically the subject of any GJ,I! for the past 12 months. Is this irony? Alanis Morissette made it impossible for me to tell anymore.

Can’t speak to the first two, but if reading the funny pages through The Comics Curmudgeon counts, then yes, I know way too much about Mary Worth.

I’ve heard of Jerkagram, Too Many Zooz, and All Them Witches! What do I win?

Don’t fall asleep to them, because that high-pitched music will play forever. And which episode is next? Click the wrong one to find out!

I grew up in rural Mississippi. Until I went to college in a different town, I had known exactly one Catholic family and one Hindu family. Everyone else was some form of Protestant (we were the boring Methodists that most people just ignored), or a “backslider”. The Hindu family’s patriarch was a traveling doctor, so

Are these the same old Buffy discs in new packaging? Because the menus on those old sets are super annoying.

Yay toast! But wither this week’s entry?

I have to give them credit for knowing what they wanted to be from the outset. “We want to make songs that get played on the radio and make assloads of cash” (not an actual quote, but probably pretty close, from what I’ve read of them). And by gods, they did exactly that. I had the exact same thought 20 years ago, and

Sorry, should have specified: comic book series. It only lasted a couple dozen issues, but I liked it. It’s not on Marvel Unlimited, sadly. Maybe if this gets further into production, they’ll put it out (they tend to do that with each property that gets made into a movie/tv show).

I liked Morbius as a kid. He had his own series in the early 90s (part of that whole Midnight Sons thing they were trying to get started with a new Ghost Rider etc etc) that I thought was pretty cool. It’s an interesting premise for a character, but maybe as a standalone, not-related-to-the-larger-MCU-in-any-way

The hidden songs themselves? Sure, fine, cool, whatever. The process of getting through the minutes and minutes of silence, 10-second tracks of nothing, etc. to get to them? Nope, I don’t miss that.
