Not a fan of Secret Wars (I think it’s about the worst thing that happened to Marvel in the ‘80s), but it did predate Crisis by a year.

Wolverine also got one of his longstanding costumes during Secret War.

But yeah.. the Secret War stories were.. mostly stupid.

Oh please no. That was a crappy knockoff of Crisis and the only thing anyone remembers about it is that’s where the symbiote/Venom came from. I am immediately disheartened that this is the Russos’ favorite comic, especially considering how good their movies are.

There is an crossover issue of Planetary where they go to Gotham City and encounter a man who can cross between parallel Earths. Which is, of course, when Batman arrives. It’s called Batman/Planetary: Night on Earth and it is wonderful. It cycles through a bunch of various Batmen, including, of course, Batman ‘66:

Let’s just acknowledge that Apple’s “ideal state” is for all Mac OS as well as IOS applications to be available only through the App Store. If it weren’t for public outcry it already would’ve happened with MacOS. On the education end of things we get pushed a *lot* to migrate away from non-apple applications to

I think anything you see as a kid is immediately imprinted as “best version forever”.

I kept trying to come up with something...anything...that could match it, but you really laid out the best one right there in the article. Much as I love the Klingon AND Enterprise reveals in The Motion Picture, as much as I dig Serenity’s barely-keeping-it-together vibe, nothing comes close to matching this:

The moment Kirk and Scotty see the refit Enterprise for the 1st time in TMP is the reason the term “spaceship porn” is a thing...

This looks like it could be lots of fun.

Ted “Theodore” Logan as Whoaverine, with Bill “X” Preston, Professor.

It’s good to see Yakov Smirnoff is still getting work.

Eh, I feel the same way about this movie as Germain. It didn’t need to be remade, and it does nothing with the sequel that wasn’t done already by movies released recently.   I feel everything that has been said about Mary Poppins has already been touched on with “Saving Mr Banks”, and while hollywood can crank out the

At this point I think I’d rather just have him lose in 2020 than be removed from office. There’s nothing that would be gained from Pence being in the Oval Office and, in some ways, he might even be worse than Trump. He’s a fundamentalist nut job who is shrewd enough to keep a low profile while he would try to enact

I can tell you how this is gonna play out:

It came out in late November instead of December so doesn’t really belong in this list, but I highly recommend the seventh of Ben Aaronovitch’s Rivers of London series, Lies Sleeping. To understand and fully appreciate the many character arcs and references, you need to start with the first one and work your way

Darth Maleficient is better than any other Sith name in the whole SW canon... There, I said it...

I tend to like “European” style games, where no one is eliminated.

There are some that call me Tim
