Now we all can’t ask for our favorite characters to appear willy nilly on the show. They’ll need to fit the context of the story and help the major characters advance as people. We don’t want to look like a buncha jerks...

If the hat fits...
The comic has been collected a few times. Super worth the effort of tracking down. I own the original comics and the hard-back compilation. You’ll also be surprised that Howard Hughes was a completely different character in the comics...
Pretty much. The fact that no giant robots showed up during Donald Trump’s inaugeration proved that I wasn’t dreaming, and that’s pretty much been my gauge ever since.
I’m not too sure about that. There were a lot of Star Trek and Star Wars mentions as well. I’m sure if George Lucas was at the helm of Lucas Films we’d see some X-wing Fighters, but not with Disney in charge. I expect that’s also the reason the Iron Giant is prominent instead of Leopardon.
It looks like Spielberg wasn’t able to get cooperation on usage rights with this movie like he was with Who killed Roger Rabbit. Most of the properties I recognize are owned by Warner Brothers. I’ve also seen a distinct lack of Max Headroom which would be a shame. I’m sure Matt Frewer could use the work.
Shades of the Wild Wild West movie with Will Smith. Boy was that awful. The only thing good that came from that was Kevin Smith’s story about writing for Warner Brothers...
I was pretty interested until I saw the giant robot arm. Giant mecha in feudal Japan? Really?
Doc Savage. I didn’t read them in order, but here was this awkward 20 something with a super-weird upbringing commanding a group of men easily 10 years older than he was. I was an awkward kid too but I had a lot less baggage than my hero did. I still have trouble talking to my boss and he’s on 5 months older than me.
I see that you are correct. Similar titles, same guest star. Oops. The Episode with the genie was fun too.
One moment in the Charles Nelson Riley episode that spoofed Scientology. Sculley and Mulder have the killer cornered on the roof, ready to jump the gap to the next rooftop. Mulder yells, “You’ll never make it!” and the killer replies, “Not with that attitude I won’t” and then jumps to his death. Hilarious!
She is also the author of my favourite quote about Trump and “Alternative Facts”.
Canada is not “America’s Hat”
In the X-wing Miniatures game the A-wing was fast, but terrible at maneuvering. I always had more fun with them than with the X-wing or all the other new ships that have come out in the last few years.
I think continuity screwed up though. Ed’s leg was cut off just below the knee when he hops out onto the bridge, but the one in the ceiling was obviously cut off at the hip.
I love that too. My daugther didn’t want to wacth because my son and I were halfway through the season. I told her you didn’t need to see any past episodes (and you didn’t need to be a Star Trek fan) to enjoy it. Luckily most of the epsiodes were on the PVR because she just ate them up.
The last I heard it was optioned by SyFy and Melinda Snodgrass was scripting it. That was more than a year ago though.
I read recently that Disney might be looking to let go of ABC altogether. They plan on layoffs to reduce annual costs by 10%. Does anyone else see a future where the big four networks get replaces by the big four streaming services? Discovery appears to be keeping the CBS streaming services alive.
