Yes. In college, no permanent ties cut yet. I record everything on the PVR and we get caught up on the many breaks and vacations. I need to get used to the idea of watching the is stuff alone soon. (The wife falls asleep pretty quick if John McClane isn’t kicking ass.)

It’s too bad you didn’t watch the show with your dad. I’m the old man of the family, and I watch all the genre shows with my kids (that we can agree on - no Gotham). It’s great to have something to talk with them about since I too am a reader and they only read grudgingly. I also started them early on classic movies,

Do the Robot!

One word - Unobtainium.

Abe Vigoda is not dead.

but man, why you gotta do this to Carol Danvers, Marvel?

I think they left out a bunch since I only count 78 books on the page with no button to continue on to the rest. I’ve read 21 of these and can’t say anything bad about any of them. There are probably another ten that I’ve seen the movie version of and I can’t say anything bad about the films, so I guess they’re good

My Father’s Crab by Bruce McAllister. Analog October 2015. At the time I didn’t have an opportunity for a quick review (it’s a thing that I do) so I just wrote “This was a great story, possibly the best SF story I’ve read all year.” When I came back later to finish up the review, I thought “This is enough.”

I may have missed something (quick scan of the article cause I’m sleepy) but is there any correlation between population and results? I’m sure that right now there might be a 50/50 or 45/55 split on the gender of writers working in the genre. But in the 60s and 70s I’m willing to bet that the gender split was 70/30 in

There was a period there where everything I was into was getting made. The Tick cartoon, the Rocketeer… Good times.

Now playing

If all those shows go down the tubes we might have a shot.

You project infrared light ahead of the car® and your windscreen is more like an infrared viewer instead of plain glass.

Any word about a new, grim dark reboot yet?

No love/hate for Arnie?
