At first I was inclined to agree with my home state of Oklahoma being ranked so high, but then I realized it said "nerdiest" states, not "turdiest."

"The sex lasts forty to seventy hours."
Hello all! I'm a 36-year-old aspiring screenwriter from Tulsa, OK. I'm married, with two daughters: one is 23-months, and the other is 13 years old. I'm an all around geek, into all of the traditional cliches: Star Trek, Doctor Who, video games, etc. I've been an io9 reader for a few years now, but just recently…
My daughter will be 14 this year, so I've been thinking about what I need to teach her when she begins to learn to drive, and this is the number one lesson I'm going to impart on her. I almost never make left turns. Not only are they time-consuming, but they are extremely dangerous. I'll drive all the way through a…
I will take ALL OF THE THINGS.
Ugh...one of my biggest pet peeves. My mother-in-law (who currently lives with us), will frequently come into the room after my 2-year-old daughter has gone to bed, and will see me watching Regular Show or Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and say something like, "Aren't you tired of watching kids' shows?" Grrrr...
"Tweezers" and "eyes" are two words I never want to read in a sentence together...
Am I the only person that didn't know Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen were both in this (as well as the forthcoming Avengers sequel)?
As long as it keeps coming from my mouth, I don't really give a fuck where it came from. :)
Is it too early to predict that this will bomb horribly, and in ten years time will be nothing more than a trivia footnote?
Finally! Thank you for reviewing this show...I missed the premiere but was extremely curious about it. So far, this is the only genre site I've seen that's even mentioned it. I'll admit to skimming the review since I didn't want to be spoiled, but you have convinced me to give it a try.
Aw, man...you broke my heart before I even read the story. I LOVE Pepe! Don't ask me why — he definitely is a stereotype — but I think he's hilarious. I dig Rizzo, too.
It's clear we aren't the only ones confused by this whole mess. In the intro, the author calls them "web chats" and in the text of the help article, it says they're called "group chats." How are we supposed to figure it out if you guys don't even know what it's called?
Between this episode and last week's snorefest, I've decided they should drop the word "Dead" from the title and just call the show "The Walking."
Can I just say that I totally love you for including New Frontier on this list?
I remember being so conflicted about this. I loved all of the other 2099 books and much respect for Stan "The Man" Lee, but...this. Was. Awful.
This is fantastic! Up until recently, I'd always read the books as they came out, but I've fallen behind. It gets really old looking up the publication dates on Amazon to try and figure which order to read them in.
Am I the only person that thinks Donnie Darko is highly overrated? I didn't like it at all when it first came out, but when I watched it again recently it didn't fare much better. I thought it was okay at best.
Thank you! I was scanning the whole page thinking, "I can't be the only one!" I've always heard that CBS blocked him from Indy. Not once have I heard that he turned it down...
Actually, I could totally see Star Trek Continues or one of the other fan film series redoing this story. Then again, Ellison wouldn't make any money that way so I doubt it would happen.
