Move over Morgan Freeman, there’s a new narrator in town.

Normally I would shun the idea of tossing a chevy in a 928, but the original engine is so prone to grenading itself, there really isn’t a much better option to put in the 928. I wouldn’t put my money into this kind of combo, but I can’t fault him either.

So, after reading this through, was there any rumor you could verify?

Democrats don’t fight dirty? That is the biggest load of bullshit I’ve ever read.

You people realize how much a gallon of gas is already taxed, right? The Federal tax is around $0.18 and each state adds another $0.30-$0.60 per gallon of tax, as well as some cities adding more tax.

This show doesn’t feel as forced as all of the other terrible car shows on tv. It still isn’t anywhere near top gear (or even top gear usa) but they actually have some sense of humor and they don’t take themselves too seriously. I’m also surprised they haven’t received some attention from OSHA for how they run their

This is a Gawker site. People do anything but judge silently. But seriously, the idea that people should be allowed to say what they want unless someone gets offended is such a ridiculous part of our society.

Atta boy. Jalopnik standing up to Big Blandness.

Classic.

Fixed it for you.

I live in Boise, ID and warehouse space is so cheap, I rent a small shop with a friend and we wrench on our cars/motorcycles there. I could work on my car in my driveway, but my neighbors would probably frown on it.

They aren’t everywhere but typically are found in a residential development or certain neighborhoods. In some ways they are nice for setting appearance standards for the neighborhoods, but the trade-off is the strict set of rules deterring activities like wrenching or not allowing you to change the exterior or

The 4.2 Supercharged engine is virtually unchanged from the unit used in the XK8 and XJ and X-type R from the mid-90's through 2009. The 4.4 Jag used in the LR3 and Range Rover/RRS is only used in the Rovers, I believe. The Aston 4.3 is based on the same engine but has different heads and probably internals.

What needed to be done? The 5.0 seems to be a fairly good engine from everyone I know who has one.

You’re right, it didn’t have the BMW 4.4, but it did have the Jag 4.4, not the 4.2. The 4.2 is the Supercharged Jag engine used in the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport Supercharged.

Having owned an LR3 for about five years, I still want to upgrade to an LR4. Unfortunately, the LR4 resale has held quite a bit better than the LR3's did, so I haven’t pulled the trigger on one yet. I’d still go for a 2011 or 2012 with the 5.0 over the newer V6.

If it had an S54 swapped into it and it was the facelifted wagon, I’d be all over it. It looks clean and well done, but still CP. Hell, I’m trying to get $13k out of my E61 535Xi wagon right now.

Apparently it’s a fairly recent addition (Oct ‘15) to the OSP fleet.

I must have missed that.

Apparently. This is by far the sneakiest State Trooper car I’ve seen. Most of the “unmarked” trooper cars are still Chargers with the obvious steelies and yellow state plates so they really aren’t that covert.
