Why not? A rental with 20k miles on it is definitely going to tell me if it’s worth my time and money to buy a decent, used, privately owned unit.

A friend and I do this to each other every once in a while on our mountain bikes out on the trails but never enough to make the other person crash. That’s a serious dick move on a sport bike.
My family used to go Kauai when I was in highschool but I haven’t been back in 10 years and my wife hasn’t been to that island. Looking forward to driving a jeep around the island this time.
Kauai. Anniversary trip.
I just booked a hawaii vacation and renting a JK was a priority for the trip. I’ve considered buying one oh so many times, but a week with one will definitely make me decided. I’d like to see a Truck Yeah comparison between this and an FJ Cruiser some time. Rattles and squeaks are a bit of a disqualifier for me since…
That we have the money to afford the cars we buy? Usually, it’s just because nice cars depreciate like the Detroit housing market and we know when to buy them.
Bad jokes at the BBC’s expense.
I like to simplify things by making the engine wires separate from the controls/lights wires. I’ll make a new harness from scratch and make sure I have the engine wires correct and running, then tap into the 12v off the rectifier for the lights and signals. I try to use the same color of wires for the engine if I can…
The rare moment when the Chinese knock off looks better than the original. At least in pictures.
Red on tan? No thanks. I’d hold out for Leman Blue on Black.
BMW is wasting everyone’s time by not making the badge flip up with the charging port underneath.
But at least I have the twin turbo, awd wagon. That has to be worth at least a few jalop points.
More of an accessory than a trim piece, but tonneau covers really bother me. I can almost understand a canopy, but tonneau covers are bad. Just buy a Yukon.
I agree with all but the E60 BMW. Probably because I own one...
You cannot simultaneously have a truck and friends. If you have a truck and friends, the friends will inevitably ask to borrow your truck and your help. This will end friendships and leave you with just a truck. Not a bad deal, just be aware of the end result.
Beat me to it.
I think the best events are both ends of the spectrum- Formula 1 or 24 Hr and your local Rally X events. Local events are sometimes even more fun to spectate because there are very few rules and it’s just a good time to watch grassroots motorsports.
I’m 50/50 on this one. I’ve seen more beginners strip or break bolts/nuts by not using a torque wrench properly, especially with so many engine parts being aluminum these days. For critical components, a torque wrench is necessary, for a lot of things, they are not.
This thing is/was (a month ago when I was there) at World of Speed in Portland, OR. It’s a great museum.
Can we also get a hit piece on the governors of Virginia and Maryland on this issue? While I agree that Texas and every other state should most definitely allow direct sales, I would be surprised if your choice of words would be similarly directed at a democrat. Stay classy, gawker.
