That puddle at the bottom keeps the tires from overheating on the rocks.

A bit of both. BMW is a bit lacking in their class right now and the Kia lineup actually looks pretty good these days.

You could swap the badges on that thing with "KIA" and no one would ever know the difference.

An excellent example of the perfect every-day car for a grandmother who plans on raising $2.5B for a campaign.

I would agree that BMW run flats are terrible tires to unmount and mount, but the old tires weren't run flats. That would have been an understandable obstacle.

Another person who didn't read my comments as to why I had my tires done there. I called four tire shops to schedule having the tires I ordered put on the summer wheels for my wife's car. It happens to be snow tire swap season where I live and no tire shop had time to change my tires over. It was a last resort since I

If you had read my other comments, you would have found out that they didn't touch my car. They were the only shop available that day that I called. I took the extra wheels with new tires to get mounted. I (wrongfully) assumed that they could at least mount a set of tires.

No, I took a set of stock bmw wheels and new tires to get mounted. The tires on the summer wheels needed to be replaced. I called four tire shops and none of them were able to get the tires swapped in the timeframe I needed so as a last resort, I had a midas shop mount a set of tires because they were the only shop

Like I said, wasn't my first choice but the only place in town available that afternoon while I was in town between business trips. I've never had them work on any of my cars and definitely wouldn't now. I typically mount and balance my own tires because my dad has a tire machine, but I didn't have time to do it

Muffler shop? It's an autoshop.

Wouldn't have gone there for anything beyond tires. I thought any place could at least handle mounting tires...

Wasn't terribly desperate, it seemed like it should have been straight forward. If I had 35 or 30 series tires, I would have understood some difficulty.

Went to a Midas yesterday to get some tires mounted up for my wife's 135i. They were the only place in town with a "walk-in" policy. The three guys standing around smoking in the mechanic bay all claimed that it would be very difficult for them to unmount the 40-series tires currently on the wheels and mount new ones.

Considering how many new 911 Turbo’s I see all the time, with a pricetag starting at $187k, the McLaren’s price is very reasonable.

This is the biggest issue with people like me (or Tavarish) who buy fairly expensive, used luxury cars and do 90% of the work ourselves. I just recently sold my LR3 which I replaced the suspension compressor, front hubs and lower control arms in the three years I owned it. When the people asked for the service

Without Clarkson (and presumably the other two), the Top Gear brand will take a major hit. Clarkson, Hammond and May will go on to do another show, hopefully with an online media provider and will take much of their audience with them.

They're going to stay as a threesome and start their own show. They have no reason not to. They could easily do a show on their own with a private network and make 10x the money they have so far.

Given the technology and date that was made, it is absolutely at the top of the list for me. Over 200mph on those wheels and tires?? Clearly insane.

I agree on infrastructure. My opinion would be that Infrastructure spending should be allocated from the general fund, not strictly from gas/travel tax.
