Personal preference? I don’t want to keep buying in to refreshed hardware if the generations aren’t as clear-cut as they were. If this is the trend, I might as well buy a PC.

Personally, after this whole fiasco of mid-life refreshes, I’ll be building my first PC (mini ITX!). It’s all gotten a little tiresome. I can’t say I’ve regretted having a PS4 since day 1, though! At one point, you kinda just get tired of being taken for a ride (ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ) by Sony and Microsoft.

There’s a Human Revolution control scheme for Mankind Divided :D It’s as quaint as it sounds, and I actually recommend it! You’d be well served with a gameplay refresher.
