My mom loved Darkman, she seems to have a soft spot for that sort of thing. After watching it with me Tremors is one of her fave trash movies too.

I'd put that up there with mine too except I never actually worked at it. I went to the opening day training session, sat through 2/3 of the introduction spiel about all their labour law tiptoeing or outright breaking policies, asked a bunch of needling questions that really annoyed the boss-lady then left at the

Sure now all my commenting feels like a waste of time.

It's a pretty terrible book in and of itself, though it does introduce Zsinj who's (imo) one of the more fun antagonists of that era.

No, it's completely different. SWG was trashed ages ago (not long after completely revamping the game and throwing good money after bad, it's kind of a hilarious story by itself) The new one is very much a EQ/WoW esque game with really boring questing/fighting but really fun (at least on the classes I played) main

That sounds more like you're referring to SW: Galaxies. That game was such a mess, super cool crafting/housing/economy model paired to an otherwise terrible game.

I really enjoyed the storyline but the combat and minor questing was so disappointing.

Deepest darkest nightmares

And again, there was no headline or thing at the top mentioning Disney abolishes EU.

Well I suppose Brian Herbert deserves some blame as well for allowing him to keep writing those things. (As for Frank sure there are diminishing returns but Anderson drops it to a whole other level)

Bleh, I was checking out something regarding a comment and found out that Allston died this year. I know he wasn't the healthiest guy but part of me was still hoping that eventually the new disney overlords might get him to write a followup to Mercy Kill.

That's pretty much Anderson in a nutshell… a couple of great ideas swathed in layers of crap and superweapons.

I'm with you on Han Solo Trilogy but imo The Truce at Bakura is such a terrible book that I have excised it from my personal version of the EU.

Given that it's explained in the first part of the article and the title/article don't use the term EU until after Expanded Universe has been mentioned four times I call bullshit on you being unable to "immediately make the connection" anyway. :p

Luckily he left to taint Dune.

Well to be fair a lot of the "superweapons" are the result of one terrible author (Kevin J Anderson) thankfully he's been busy ruining the Dune universe for the past decade or two.

Honestly read everything Zahn and you'll get the high points of the EU stories for the main characters. As Sonia said the XWing series is fun if you're into pulpy stuff too (and intersect with main characters only occasionally.)
