Everytime I see an image of Platt in a commercial, this is what I think of.

I don’t think Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man is a good comparison. His casting worked because of youthfulness in appearance (on-screen, at least) and performance, not because it was a different era of audience acceptance.

Platt looks like every actor in a comedy who does a flashback scene to their youth.

But our acceptance of this historic affront to realism (which, of course, does go back to the stage—how often is it really a kid up there as Hamlet?) has waned in recent years, as Hollywood has increasingly cast real teenagers as teenage characters.

My friend and his wife (a lawyer by profession, so she knew what she was doing) split up about five years ago. She made very similar allegations against him, right down to coaching the kids to say that he’d abused them, all of which were eventually proven to be totally untrue. Google says Buckingham’s net worth is est $100M, so “the rent is due” truly is a hot take.

“Okay Lindsay Buckingham! This is your moment! Talk to me, baby!”

This is the joke I came here to read

Generally Nicks and Buckingham strike me as two difficult people. Two talented pains in the asses.

If you’ve never seen Dark City before, do yourself a favor and make sure you watch the director’s cut. The theatrical cut opens with a narrator telling you exactly what’s going on which spoils a lot of the plot. The director’s cut leaves that out and you get to discover what’s happening along with the protagonist.

Eh....not really. You have companions and dialogue options and it's sci-fi, that's where the similarities end really. It was buggy at launch but it's been in good condition for a very long time now.

Announcing a game is game news gamers are likely to be interested in, so it gets covered by game news outlets.

The Elite Forces games are solid first person shooters, but I am sure they look a bit dated. Bridge Commander is a Bridge simulation game, but I found it to be a bit difficult.

I played both Elite Force and Elite Force 2 back in the day and loved them.  I can’t speak about the other games.  The price is pretty good so why not pick them up?

Yeah, I’m not quite as on board with LW1 as Dan is.

just remember, you wanted this.

What the hell?
