I’ve been asked to return to office for one day of the week at my job.
I’m not forced, but I agreed because I get to pick which day, and I picked....Beer day. (A lot of tech jobs in my city has beer Fridays etc)

They were still able to work from home? My entire job can be done remotely and we’ve been forced back into the office for at over a year at this point. Fortunately they are still able to work from home a couple times a week, we get 5 WFH days total, per YEAR. I feel for them, it really sucks, I, personally am a bit

My employer is still hybrid, two WFH days, three in the office. Most of our new employees are from companies that did away with WFH completely. I am so grateful and thankful those companies are so shortsighted, because our labor shortage is decreasing now.

All the middle management feels useless, as they have no one to berate, micro-manage, or whatnot.

Search for “breaking bad parody” on YouTube. Any random result will be more amusing and most likely more clever than that ad.

This is basically a recycled ad (with additional star power) from one they did in the UK two years ago.

I may be using this term incorrectly, but that seems like a “meta” joke to me; a joke about how bad those ideas are for a joke.

Maybe AI isn’t that advanced yet. I don’t even know if I understand the concept of “meta” humor.

Is it just me, or did it sound like the AI was almost riffing on transphobic comedians? “No one was laughing.” Like it was pointing out that that shit isn’t funny.

i think the difference with Roblox (not defending them) is that most of the content on Roblox is user created so they can get away with that.

If the FTC doesn’t go after Roblox next... Roblox not only has tons of games trying to trick players into making purchases, but their target demographic is mainly children.

Yes, and this the kind of answer we get from folks who are educated and intelligent, not merely splurting out general klische ideas about biology to further their robotics romancies.

The problem is that as people become more and more dependent on “factory made” goods, actual craft and know-how is often lost. We saw this with the advent of industrialized goods. Not many people know how for instance to craft intricately woven baskets of extreme complexity, and many techniques are now simply

Yeah, it seems like a bad take to view this at all as a “win” for domestic violence victims. Kotaku has, over the years, continued to “stand by” Amouranth in a way that (at this point) feels almost purely symbolic. Defending and rationalizing their disproportionate coverage of her has become a stand-in for an implicit

nono it says “Millennium” meaning the book covers 1000 years of LAN parties.

Didn’t think I’d find any commenters arguing in favor of pointless nested launchers, but okay.

A. It was the first multi-publisher launcher, and having ONE central hub for your games is fine. Launching a launcher FROM YOUR LAUNCHER is the problem. That and publishers trying to force you to abandon your launcher in favor of their thing.

Would it be that hard to identify her as a Twitch streamer and adult film actress at least in the body of the article? It’s weirdly slut shamey to not recognize the industry she is most accomplished in. A job that is more directly impacted by her injury. She had a film come out in July so it’s not like she is retired.

I can’t believe she’s up and back to streaming so soon. I would’ve assumed injuries like this would require at least a couple months of bed rest.
