AH YES. MY FAVORITE FORTNITE CHARACTER.

The Fortnite Batman one kills me. All I can imagine is a kid throwing a fit because they had to get the “regular” Batman costume.

Ooft that’s probably happened to a lot of people! I guess the angle is that as this is a twitch / gaming news item, the focus is on that, but yeah. She’s an incredibly successful and popular hardcore adult actor, and one would assume is FAR more famous for that than for streaming on twitch.

Just tried to read up on this story and Google was suspiciously unwilling to finish her name or assist me with the spelling, after I got it right, every result is just porn, could have done with a heads up :/

I am on you with most of your comment. I just don’t see how you can feel like artists are somehow incredibly privileged people (with all evidence contradicting this idea) but some guy who has the means and the access to use AI software to make his own anime waifu or game assets for his game project is not privileged??

I never played Overwatch, I know nothing about it or its characters and couldn’t even name any of its characters... except D.Va. Thanks, Pornhub!

Safe to say that D.Va is more popular than...the cowboy

“I failed to read this room right”

I had to raise an eyebrow at the people who said they’ve been working at GS for 10 years and said this was the final straw that motivated them to quit. The last two years alone have been full of upheavals both in GS alone and the job market at large. But then again, maybe their supervisor’s were stringing them along

What you said isnt “Wrong” but youve said it in the most tone deaf and stupid way possible. You are right for people working there for a decade and still complaining. I see the comments that say “The McDonalds across the street pays $3 more, and I work 70 hours and im exhausted.Well then quit and go work at that

This game is dead. It is 2 years after it was supposed to come out and is still a complete mess.

Or, and I know this is a crazy idea, but they can just reduce the grind... That's still an option, right?

this comment took a real left turn (ba dum tss)

i’ll see myself out

Like Hanlon’s Razor says “never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.” Racism is probably a decent part of the issue but I imagine that an incompetent system is a big part of this issue as well. Unfortunately YouTube’s system of hiding how and why they come up with their decisions makes

No. Just no. I dont know who the ‘extremely privileged artists’ you know are but I’ve been a professional illustrator for 6 years and believe me none of that has been taken for granted because prior to that i grew up on one of the biggest council estates in Europe, was very poor and had to work jobs to support myself

AI is an imperfect attempt at replicating the human mind, which is still not fully understood or known to be in any way replicable, and no matter what it will always have its basis in being a copy. Art was developed by and for humans and in many ways followed its own evolutionary path whereas AI’s participation is a

Its also the impending death of creativity... i literally saw this comment on reddit today and im speechless... like “painting something for a loved one didnt have to take you any effort with dall-e around!”

This.

Eminem has written rhymes for Dr. Dre. In fact, Dre is known for hiring several people to help him write songs (I don’t know if any others are white). Could it be said that’s a case of the ole BF? Do you think Dre would refer to it as that? (I dunno the guy, so I can’t say.)

No. The biggest gripe is the corporate exploitation of Black people and Black culture. Specifically, the concept that a corporation can create a digital “Black” icon—a fake non-human who doesn’t have the lived experience to be Black, who doesn’t genuinely come from or represent Black people or their culture, but is
