A youtube comment (yeah, yeah) on his episode of Hot Ones today: "I knew Kristen Bell was married to a guy named Dax but didn't realize it was him!" Who the fuck else would it be?

I've noticed that too. I think some facial hair and a little bit of age has done wonders for him.

Seth Meyers went from "…he still has a show?" to Closer Look being essential viewing every morning for me, seemingly out of nowhere.

It's a little more psychedelic/lush and the keyboard parts are more pronounced, but also still standard Real Estate at the core. I dug it, B from me.

Watching her on Colbert last week I was relieved that she's a seemingly down to earth, charming and funny person and not actually a narcissistic disaster.

Knowing Pete it's almost certainly B.

Was it though?

Got a beer left for John Oliver.

Also, I wanted Barry Jenkins to win just as much if not a little more (and much of the same sentiment applies to him), so it was a tough category.

The La La Land backlash wasn't entirely undeserved but also kinda bummed me out, cause Whiplash was a goddamn gem and LLA was great, just a little overhyped. The guy is super talented and I'm looking forward to the rest of his career.

Thomas Newman shafted yet again.

Do what you gotta do.

Dude I don't get this bit. What gives.

Try looking for CTV instead. Its running a lot smoother for me.

I feel like these isolated scenes without context make them seem so much worse. Like that Moonlight scene was devastating in the actual movie but looked like typical Oscar bait schmaltz here.

Love a show that opens with awkward audience participation.

This seems like the best place to start one. I'm on board.

I've straight up never heard of it.

This show is better than I thought it would be, and I'm generally a fan of Pete (give or take turning off a few podcasts when he goes down his spiritual rabbit hole) and was rooting for it.

I'm pretty sure he's actually a good dude underneath the persona, which he amplified quite a bit for American audiences. I've had Kitchen Nightmares on in the background all week and he really only yells and gets aggressive with people who actually deserve it. And I find it hilarious.
