That's one thing that always bothered me, that they cast a French (from France) actress instead of a French Canadian. Julia Ormond is lovely and charming, but there's no shortage of bilingual Quebecois actresses who could've nailed that part with the right accent.

Does anyone find him funny? I lasted about 30 seconds into his standup before being overwhelmed by my desire to throw him off a bridge.

It has to be Hannibal Burress, right? His DJ's name is right there…and he's from Chicago.

They basically do that already…by having said character live with the Simpsons for whatever reason

Boy that was some trip to Las Vegas!
Eh…too many kids.

There's the occasional recurring character and a bit of an arc with his younger girlfriend, but I don't think you'll be spoiling anything, its pretty episodic.

Its odd that as much as I've hated Pete over the entire show, I actually kind of believed his spiel to Trudy. Either he's actually matured, or he's become a better salesman.

There was even a touch of dark comedy when she pat him on the back…or at least I laughed.

Charles Manson of the Manson Brothers?

That's what confuses me about these comments….its not like the show started out 'normal' and just now he's experimenting, the show has been a surreal unpredictable clusterfuck since episode 1. The first season was probably actually the weirdest. Other than the arcs last season (which a lot of people here seemed iffy

Her and her daughter look like they're the same age.

Not that she's a bad standup or anything, but I find her comedy plays a lot better in sketch form.

In what episode does it reveal that Peggy created the Substitute Teach of the Year award? I thought I'd seen them all, and I of course remember her blabbing about winning it, but not that she had created it. Though that would make sense.

Yeah I remember finding it kinda creepy and dark…though that was when I was like 5 years old, and I haven't watched it since.

So this is worth watching? I heard some good things but I thought maybe it was just being graded on the Canadian TV bell curve.

You're one to talk, Jay.

That is exactly what I meant, in case that wasn't clear.

So Don toying with the window and then watching the plane outside was Weiner teasing at the Don jumps out the window/Don is D.B. Cooper theories, right?

"Don walked out a meeting on Wednesday and he hasn't come back since!"
"Yeah, he does that."

That was one of the worst songs I've heard in the last while. I don't mind big ridiculous hip-hop bangers like that if there's some kind of underlying cleverness to it, or atleast a decent hook, but that was just brash and obnoxious.
