This was an abuse of power and gross misconduct, but this was not grooming. Everyone involved was an adult at the time. Grooming, by definition, is something an adult does to a minor. Stop infantalizing yourselves.

dude, you nailed it! Last year or so, I was telling a friend that I miss the days when you turned on CNN to see events happening around the world. Now, every show (Cooper, Cuomo, and Lemon) would start with 30 minutes of Trump-stories. Eventually, you’d learn about a mall shooting, bombings, etc..

What’s funny is that CNN spun off a separate network, HLN, for exactly that reason. But now it just shows garbage docuseries and true crime stuff. Now to get that, you have to go to CNN International, which is a paid subscription.
