100% Agree with this statement! Pirates was and is still the standard.

The “couch” co-op has a lot to be desired with only a horizontal split-screen available. The text and dialog is smaller and barely readable at this point. We are hoping there is a vertical split in the works. Not sure why you would even remove that all the other games had a choice??
