This game is going to massively disappoint. Koji Igarashi is not why you liked the original games, and he is going to fail just like Inafune. Also, what is supposed to be special about Ritual of the Night? Is the stated goal just to make another Symphony of the Night, but way uglier? If so, why?

Learning the rules for a board game is something I actually find very entertaining. Now that we live in the future you can also download a pdf of virtually any rulebook and read it, which is useful for reviewing a prospective purchase.

The PS3 version is so badly bloated and the combat was annoying and clunky beyond belief, but I heard the DS version is more of a turn-based affair, and without the nonsense that ruins the fable quality of the story and themes. If only you could play it on a real handheld.
