Okay, as someone who has never purchased shoes at a place fancier than Nordstrom rack (and that’s if I’m being my super fanciest) - enlighten me - are there shoes out there that are really worth the price of a Blahnik or Louboutin? Do they last a long time? Are they comfortable? Are they seriously that much prettier

Oh, interesting - I didn’t know that about chihuahuas. Makes sense to me, anecdotally, since my friend’s chihuahuas always have the worst breath of any dogs I’ve ever known.

Thank you! Very helpful! I’m guessing my cats will be grateful for your advice/wish for your painful death in equal measure! ;)

Yikes! Yeah, my friend had to have nearly ALL of her old chihuahua’s teeth removed recently, so I’m gonna start brushing our dog’s teeth at home. (He gets his brushed at the groomer’s once a month, but I’m stepping things up after my friend’s experience.) But I didn’t realize cats need it to... though it obviously

Wait - are we supposed to be brushing our cats’ teeth???? That tweet made me laugh but then the cat owner guilt came in like a horrible wave.

Wow, that is dedication! Yet another reason on the very long list of reasons I couldn’t be an actress. (Other items on the list: can’t act, lack of interest in acting, strong interest in ice cream consumption, etc.)

Jesus christ, I hope so.

Not usually a fan of stalking, but can she just follow him around from now on until he’s forced to leave the country, nay the planet, nay, the solar system?

Shallow side note - is that a recent picture??? What is she, a vampire?! She has looked the same (gorgeous) for 20 years!

Haha, at the tomato coat comment! I bought a cheapo soft robe at Target to bring for labor and the only color they had in my current manatee size was bright fuschia. I put it on and my husband, without being able to stop himself, was like “Oh, you look just like Barney the dinosaur!” I glared, but he was right. (I

They are the beeeeeest. When I was still working I would literally fantasize about coming home and putting them on, haha.

39 weeks pregnant here - my maternity clothes strategy was to basically avoid maternity clothes as much as possible! They’re SO overpriced and you wear them for such a relatively short time! I focused on dresses I already owned that were loose and flowy, paired them with normal size long cardigans I can keep/wear

I hear ya! I’m 39 weeks and 2 days and the only things that still fit are my Old Navy maternity yoga pants (the best thing I bought this entire pregnancy) and some target sweatshirts. Luckily, I’m done with work now, so only my dog and cats are judging me. ;)

The only problem with Target maternity stuff is the material. The dresses I bought there, especially the summer ones, were practically transparent! But at least they aren’t a million dollars, like stupid Pea in the Pod, and I did love their maternity jeans - the only maternity jeans I bought/wore the entire pregnancy.

I think a situation like this would be ideal for some sort of co parenting set up between the biological mom and the foster family - does that exist? I think it’s obvious she loves her child and is making every effort she can to be a good parent. I think it’s also obvious that there could be some real dangers and

We just have a little balcony garden, but it’s done pretty well in our temperate Southern California climate, so I’m thinking of expanding next year into the exciting world of lettuce, if it doesn’t take up too much space.I want to focus on stuff we would use most frequently, ideally. We currently have all the

The Color Purple! I read it as a teen, in school and thought it was okay, then re-read it as an adult and full on wept while reading it. It’s an amazing book.

I will! The hormones are, no joke, SO powerful lately, it’s crazy. And I hear the shift once you give birth is the one that really knocks you on your ass, so I’m trying to be gentle and patient with myself. Thanks. :)

Aw, thanks. I do actually feel like the outline is stronger now, which is the only upside to today’s technology fiasco. That and I have a really weird document full of confusing characters and snippets of foreign language, if I ever want to convince someone that I’m a spy. ;)

Ugh, I’m having a rough day, Jezzies, but I’m trying to turn it into a good one. Or at least a salvageable one. To start, I’m 39 weeks pregnant, so I’m crazy uncomfortable and super hormonal. So, of course, I had the most terrifying, vivid dream about a stillbirth this morning and woke up SOBBING. It was 4 am but I
