The real SOS.

Louder for the people in back (ie: the people who are on here saying there hasn’t been a drop off in the quality of plotting or character development in Ted Lasso). How do you expand episodes up to an hour but leave a crucial piece of both plot and characterization unsaid? Maybe they’ll give us his quitting in

Right? I thought I skipped an episode between Nate seemingly quitting his dream job just because Rupert kind of disapproves of him not joining in on boning models, and Roy somehow realizing breaking up with Keeley was a bad choice because a teacher might have flirted with him months prior.

Now playing

There is no way his last episode will be 1/100th as entertaining as the opening to Craig Ferguson’s last show. Here’s the proof:

That show was too beautiful for this world.

I miss Craigy Ferg.

This is also a reminder that it’s been 8 years since Craig Ferguson (and Geoff the robot) had a nightly talk show.

“I’m sorry, I forgot how skittish elderly people could be because of the war.”

Just the line “I wasn’t being ironic, I was being hypocritical” shows enormous intellectual and emotional growth.

it is definitely poopeh

I’m sure they left out Heche because of the circumstances of her death. Same reason they left out Robert Blake. If you were famously a murderous shithead in life(Blake), or died doing something extremely shitty, endangering other people (Heche), you might not get honored.

They left out Larry Storch who died at 99 last year. He made countless films and its a shame to see he left out.  If only the Academy did as good as TCM when it comes to the in memoriam.

I didn’t see the live stream, but I watched it a few days ago before the edit and I thought “I can’t believe they left that.” But also that it was a cool little totally live moment which totally happens all the time to performers of all types.

Man, I Feel Like I Know This Woman

I have to agree, I’m shocked this is apparently doing well. Night Court was my favorite sitcom growing up, hands down, so I’m the perfect audience for this. But the first episode was irredeemably awful.

I just don’t get the popularity. I could not find it funny at all. All I can imagine is that Melissa Rauch is leveraging a lot of Big Bang Theory love. But kind of nice that they are still making multi-cam sitcoms dirercted by James Burrows.

TV man to Videogame man: “No no, we don’t have to punish the viewer at every turn. In fact, this is an opportunity to change it from yet another cautionary tale for Joel about how people suck, to ‘there’s something still worth fighting for, and it’s human connection’.”

It is not normal to have that many guns.

I dunno if acceptable is the word I’d use. Possible, sure.

The Pork Gyoza is pretty good.
