I hear this from friends and co-workers all the time. The idea that it makes sense to dump a car you already own because of some repair costs and incur new debt for 5 years is indeed idiotic. It’s one thing if you just want a new car, but it ain’t going to be cheaper than keeping your old one.

GM has shown that V8s are still relevant, especially in trucks, compared to on-paper-more-efficient smaller displacement forced induction engines.

Why aren’t they doing this for the 300hp TRD version? Being able to tame that power could make a Camry a proper sport sedan.
