That’s pretty dumb to say.

I guess it’s because in main continuity, the heroes always have to win in the end. The alternatives on the cutting room floor are always going to be things going ‘the other way’ - and really, it’s nuts that the heroes have won as repeatedly as they have for sixty years of comics.

Sliding mechanisms aren’t necessarily as bad as you think. I had an OG Motorola Droid back in the day, and that slider felt solid for two years even though I’ve heard that there were better ones out there in other models.
