@qban.boi.84: If it's a wifi+3G model, no. If its a normal one, you don't even need to use TinyUmbrella. I'd recommend having that on file anyway though, it comes in handy.

@Josh: Only if developers ask for it.
@kellyhofer: But iOS 5 fixes that...
@tekwiz: That's because the exploit they found is bootrom level (meaning it can only be fixed in new hardware because the exploit is so early in the boot process). Apple patched the userland (weaker) exploit they found within a week and a half.
@propelledjeans: THANK YOU. I saw your comment right as I started the restore and yanked the cord out. I really dont want my baseband updated (I want to unlock this phone when I sell it) and the beta would have done so. I now have my phone working again.
@Glanton: I almost lost the ability to unlock my iPhone for that?? Sigh, I had just started the restore when I saw this post.

@\m/ chaosphere \m/: I had to do other things but wanted to say I agreed with you in as few words as possible. Sorry you didn't get it.
That would suck. Royally.
@\m/ chaosphere \m/: This.
