It was shown not too terribly far off the original launch date.  It would have looked better I’m sure (and I don’t think they picked the right time of day for the demo, everything was backlit and flat) but it’s looking like the delay was clearly the right move.

It was a “work in progress” build scheduled for release maybe 12-16 weeks after that.

it’s amazing what happens when you don’t force your developers to show off months old alpha gameplay when the game is clearly not ready.

What a weirdly soulless “informercial” approach to a campaign trailer.

Taiwan is a wonderful country full of beautiful people and it will be an insanely tragic day if China does indeed ever flex their muscles. Even more tragic because at least to my knowledge Taiwan has some of - if not the - most liberal policies in East Asia, and so the lack of support and silence from supposed fellow

no way! think about it, this is the final moment, the reapers have trained you and manipulated you. the “red” ending is bad because it destroys all non-biological life, including shepard at this point. But then he breaths. That proves the lie. Red was only to destroy reapers, they just wanted to make that choice the

They could have fixed this without extra work by confirming indoctrination theory. It’s honestly the only thing that makes sense, especially with the context of that last extra second if you 100% the game.

All hail Marauder Shields!

I also wouldn’t go as far as calling anyone ‘good guys’ or ‘bad guys.’  Protagonists vs. antagonists feels like a better way to describe things.

CHOAM and the Landsraad: The stock market and Congress, respectively; both are made up almost entirely of heads of the Great Houses, who use them both as proxies for their long-standing fights.

Let’s not overlook another piece of the puzzle: Disney inherited this film from Fox Searchlight during the 2019 merger. And they don’t seem especially eager to support holdover projects.

It’s a macho battle flick with Jason Bourne and Kylo Ren and Batman and swords and armor and mud and it’s also a Rashomon-style investigation of a seven-hundred-year-old rape trial and also it doesn’t listen to the woman until the final third and also it’s filmed in that miserable, washed-out, essentially-monochrome

So, paradoxically, this must be Ridley Scott’s best movie and we’ll be praising it 20 years from now.

Game of Thrones also had dragons. The Last Duel had a centuries-old “he said, she said” plot that spent three quarters of its run time on the three awful male leads and left the female lead as a cipher until the end of the story. “I May Destroy You” centered the woman in her own story, which is something Hollywood

This was the exact conversation in our house this weekend.

The Martian sort of sucked.

If the masses didn’t flood theaters to see tentpole releases, there was no chance they would risk it for The Last Duel.

A thought: Maybe people don’t want to see a movie about rape

They’re not a family of villains they’re a family with eccentric tastes. Everyone who gets hurt around them are actually hurting themselves because they think they’re better or the Adam’s are bad and try to do something against them. All the Adam’s do is keep to themselves and live there lives.
