I have seriously mixed feelings about places like the British Museum.
I have seriously mixed feelings about places like the British Museum.
Considering how many national treasures the British Museum stole during the 19th and 20th centuries, it’s just one small step toward karmic restitution for them to have one of their national treasures nicked by someone else.
Hell, he gave himself to us freely. (And it should probably count for something that he went through the relative pain in the ass of becoming a citizen to do it, too.)
And credit where it’s due - it’s not just him, but his whole team. The writers and researchers for that show are top notch. It’s clear they’ve hired a talented, diverse group that can play to many strengths.
“all white male feminists are lying sacks of shit...” That seems a bit much donchathink?
I am a complete layman here so bear that in mind:
it so blew my mind that after all the horror stories about working in Amazon factories, they still didn’t vote to unionize, I feel like there’s still a story there that no one is reporting (or is afraid to report--it’s a shame that he owns the WaPo because this feels like the kind of thing they’d take on if there…
Farrell was the best part of that film. Would love to see more of that character.
The Gentlemen was one of the movies I saw in 2020 before the world ended. It’s lesser Guy Ritchie, but it was fun. Especially Hugh Grant as Fletcher and Colin Farrell as Coach.
Loved that movie. Stalin, on the other hand, was a huge cunt. Fuck him.
I’m really enjoying the show. But unless the band becomes prominent in the final four episodes and maybe their song lyrics are a key to the mystery or something... wha? I mean this is a LONG oral history for something that so far has occupied about 6 minutes of air time on the show (2 minutes of background music…
Just sayin’ an oral history of a C-plot in a current HBO show really reeks of sponsored content.
This is a bit right?
No, enough, no more. You got your 4-hour sepia-tinted Justice League out there, and hey, apparently it wasn’t as much of a dumpster fire as the original. Take the “win” and move on. I’m tired of reading about this shit.
New Gods could have been great if they could have kept the Kirby vibe.
So they couldn’t include like a minute of Green Lantern because it might conflict with WB’s plans, but they let him make Darkseid a more significant part of the movie then cancelled the New Gods project because they were worried that it might be too soon for more Darkseid after the Snyder Cut... Gotta love the WB…
And I thought randomly pairing him up with Martha literally just because they’re both black couldn’t get any more uncomfortable.
It’s late, but between this and Barrowman’s wang, Eccleston’s vaguely disgusted allusions about the set’s climate and “culture” are slowly taking shape.
